All Monocure 3D resins have a very wide range of reactivity, UV wavelengths of 225nm to wavelengths of 420nm. By incorporating a blend of photo-initiators, monomers & sensitizers, almost any UV light source can be used to initiate the polymerisation process.
Monocure 3D resins have been tested with a ‘Shore D Hardness Durometer’ and have a rating of 70 (a hard hat has a rating of 80). It has a viscosity of our resin is 500 – 600cps @ 25°C (Brookfield RVT).
You will also be pleased to know that all Monocure 3D resins have a low odour, zero VOC emissions and display very low shrinkage properties <0.5%>.
Please store Monocure 3D resin in a dark, cool place out of direct sunlight. Like a vampire, exposure of resin to unexpected UV sources causes bad things to happen.
Also, may I suggest you also have a look at the Monocure Flex 100 additive as this is a unique product that many people are unaware of. By adding Monocure Flex 100 to any MonoCure Rapid 100 resin, the resin becomes flexible. The more you add, the more flexible it becomes. For those of us who have dropped their print that you just spent the last six hours lovingly painting to watch it shatter into resin bits all over the floor, Monocure Flex 100 is an awesome find.
