What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We will need to collect your personal information as a contractual necessity to complete any orders that you place with us. We also have to comply with legal obligations with the Australian Taxation Office and the ACCC. We also have a legitimate interest in doing this as we will need to process your personal data for purposes of marketing and normal business activities. The data we will collect will include your name, postal address and phone number. These details are saved to our eCommerce platform so that we can check on sales we have made to you should the need arise, such as when you have a warranty claim. We do not store or save any credit card information on our site.


When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

In order to process credit card payments and to calculate postage, our website will communincate with PayPal, Square POS and / or Australia Post. On rare occasions we may need to grant access to our website with WooCommerce engineers to allow for rectification of faults or issues with the operation of the WooCommerce eCommerce platform.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you may not change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. What data breach procedures we have in place

In the event that we become aware or notified of a data breach, we will immediately take action to remove all access our website and hosting services and work with A2 Hosting to rectify and put in place security patches and / or upgrades to resolve the breach.
